What An Unusual Week!

Beloved Lake Country Alliance,

Phwoof!  What an unusual week…

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thess 5:16-18).

We are sad with those whose homes are compromised by the rising waters; at the same time, many of us appreciate the way the people of Lake Country, and the people of God in Lake Country, are rallying together.  And we thank God and rejoice in His answering our prayers for holding back the waters yesterday despite the predicted weather conditions.  Thank you, Lord!  We will continue to work for one another and try to be helpful according to needs, so please keep an eye on the website for updates.

Mothers, we celebrate and honour you this weekend.  Where would we be without you?  What you contribute to our lives and our world is completely amazing and baffling!  (Sue Manning shared the video below, Mom Goggles, with me and I loved it.  Some of you may have seen it already???)

You who wish to mother and have not yet conceived, you who have lost mothers, and you for whom “mothering” evokes pain—may our God this weekend somehow reveal personally to you how cherished, beloved, and important you are to Him.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
