Since our last newsletter, so many of your prayers have been answered!

It's Summer Vacation Time! The boys finished school on a high note! Mackenzie received the President's Award for Academic Achievement and Lukas also finished well with solid marks and great projects in creative arts.  We share this because many of you have prayed faithfully for the boys through this big transition to a new home and a new school. Your prayers make a difference!  We have seen the boys continue to develop friendships both in school and through the youth group at Union Church. We have been reminded over and over again in the last month that as we pray for the boys to grow deeper in Jesus and make friends, we can trust God with their good. There have been challenges for sure but we have seen how the boys have grown as we have faced these challenges together. Please continue to pray for the boys that they will know Jesus is trustworthy through it all.

Lucia continues to keep us laughing and 'on our toes' as she quickly moved from walking to now running!  She is copying lots of sounds and actions - hilarious! Her outgoing nature initiates many conversations with people wherever we go.

We recently received the last of our furniture that we had ordered and we thank God for His provision for this new home. As we left behind most of what we had in Venezuela, we sensed a promise from God that He would provide a home for us again. God has fulfilled this promise in ways beyond what we could have imagined. We already have enjoyed inviting people into our home and around our new table. It brings great joy to begin seeing Him use our home for Kingdom hospitality and conversations.  We are grateful for relationships that God is knitting together through different experiences:

Angela has been meeting regularly with women from the International Women's Club.  Through regular club meetings to playgroups to fundraisers, she is enjoying seeing how these different gatherings give her an opportunity to get to know these women. Please pray with us that relationships with these women continue to grow deeper and for divine conversations as we live life together in this huge city.

Through contacts that Chris made at the International Church Conference in Dubai in April, he has been meeting regularly with Nate - an International Church Pastor in Panama City. Nate has been a gift both in friendship and in being able to learn from another IC (International Church) pastor in the Latin American context and in the unique culture context of ICs (International Churches).

Chris has been invited deeper into relationship with a small group of men who meet once a month to share conversation. This is a unique opportunity and a unique group of men in the international community. Please pray for this monthly meeting to be a safe place for these men to receive genuine friendship and support for this season.

There are many opportunities to serve Union Church so we are also praying and discerning together with our teammate Kelly about the best ways to serve and to meet people. We are pretty sure we will lead at least one small group starting in the fall.  We are pretty sure that we will also lead an ALPHA initiative together with Robbie, and experienced leader and influential business person in Mexico.

Please pray with us as we discern which Kingdom opportunities to participate in and that we would be bold as we move forward in gathering people.

To sum up the prayer requests:

Please continue to pray for the boys that they will know Jesus is trustworthy through all the transition and challenges they face.

Please pray that the relationships that Angela is forming with women in the international community continue to grow deeper and for more divine conversations as we live life together in this huge city.

Please pray that Chris' monthly meeting with international community men to be a safe place for them to receive genuine friendship and support.

Please pray as we discern which Kingdom opportunities to participate in at Union Church and that we would be bold as we move forward in gathering people.

Please pray for deep rest and renewal as we take two weeks of holidays together as a family at the end of June.

We are looking for a small group of people who will form a prayer team to pray specifically for the International Church plant here in Mexico City   We are looking for people who will commit to pray everyday, meet once a month with the prayer team by video conference/telephone to pray together (beginning in the Fall), and be willing to interact with us and the prayer team as the Lord leads. Please write us if that is something you sense the Lord asking you to be a part of.

We are so grateful for you! Thank you for praying with us! Thank you for giving to the Global Advance Fund! Thank you for reading our newsletters and for joining with us in this international church planting journey in Mexico City.

With love, Chris, Angela, Mackenzie, Lukas and Lucía
