Since our last newsletter, so many of your prayers have been answered! We have a home - an apartment in Polanco. We anticipate that it will be a good place for us to show hospitality. We have begun to furnish our home thanks to so many generous donations to our outfit fund! In fact, we need to ask you to STOP giving to our outfit fund as we have reached the limits of what we are allowed to receive this year (any additional contributions to our outfit fund will be held until next year).  Thanks to the generous donations of individuals and churches, we were able to purchase a vehicle. You can see it peeking out from behind our family in the photo above.  Though the transition to the new school and new social scene has been challenging for the boys, there have been a few victories we have celebrated with them like Mackenzie representing the IMF (International Monetary Fund) in the Model UN Conference, Lukas' growth as a visual artist, Mackenzie's enjoyment and creativity in Music Composition class, Lukas being invited to a classmate's birthday party and Mackenzie surviving a whole day with an electronic baby simulator doll! We have started to integrate into the community at Union Church. The boys are involved in the youth group, Angela and I are helping out in the nursery and the boys are learning to help with the video production side of things. Angela and I are leading worship this Sunday. And most of all, we are getting to know people and enjoy the lingering conversations over coffee and lunch.

    Ministry

The reality that we are in Mexico City is still pretty fresh and we don't want to move too quickly and get ahead of God and what He is doing here. We are listening, observing, praying and asking the Lord for vision. What we sense is that we are here to spark a disciple making movement among national and foreign english speakers that, in its very nature, gathers as Christ's church but then is sent out to reach the least reached people of Mexico City and beyond. How that looks, where we will gather, how we will gather, who we will disciple, when to do what - we don't know yet.  Already we are seeing fruit from our efforts at building relationships. Angela has been meeting quite a number of women through the International Women's Club and through events at the boys' school. We are curious if these avenues are where key relationships will be formed. Chris went to the Exponential church planting conference in Orlando in March where he networked with church planters and people further down the road in growing discipleship movements. He will be going to the the GCGW (Global Church Global World) conference in Dubai at the end of the month to network with International Church leaders and International Church planters from all over the world. These opportunities are so valuable to us in this season as they serve to inform the vision of what we will be doing in Mexico City. We are sponges to all we can learn from these opportunities and from the people we are meeting who are practitioners in growing disciple making movements and in leading International Churches.

We are so thankful you pray!

• We are asking Jesus to continue to lead us in His vision for His church

• We are asking Jesus to guide us as we make connections, build relationships and show hospitality.

• We praise and thank God for His peace and extravagant provision in the big things and in the little details.

• We praise and thank God for His love and salvation given to us! He is LIFE! May we live in His resurrection power!

We are so thankful you give!

• You have out given our maximums! We have received all that we are allowed in our outfit fund. THANK YOU! Any further donations given to our outfit fund will be held until next year.

• Our vehicle is just about fully paid for. We will know for sure once the final numbers are in. Again, THANK YOU!

• If you desire to continue to support us, please consider giving to the Global Advance Fund by choosing "Chris and Angela's Support" on our giving page. Click here.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
