We give thanks and praise to the Lord...

...for Lucia! We celebrated her first birthday on April 19th. She has sure lived up to her middle name 'Joy' - she has been that and so much more. We all enjoy her so much and can't imagine life without her.

...for you! This is one of those prayer updates we hesitate to write because we don't want to weigh you down with challenges. We say to ourselves that "we don't want to be a burden" but then we remember that your prayers make all the difference when we are facing challenges. Our Good Father listens to you and he responds. We are so thankful you pray with us and for us!

...for opportunities to be involved in the international community!  Along with gratitude, we are also praying for discernment as we choose when and how much to be involved.

We are asking the Lord...

...for a little bit of relief. Lucia absolutely brings so much joy into our lives but she continues to not sleep well and is up multiple times in the night. This has contributed to a deep fatigue.

...for comfort. These past weeks have been pretty lonely for the boys, particularly Mackenzie. He has people to hang out with in school but he doesn't have any friends to share life with. We are all grieving some of the big losses from last year and so emotions in the Hiebert household are running high.

...for grace. On Saturday Chris will be traveling to Dubai for the GCGW (Global Church Global Word) conference where International Church leaders from around the world gather for a time of interaction, networking and learning. While this comes at a good time in the early stages of planting an International Church in Mexico City, the rest of us still have school routines, ministry responsibilities and 'Lucia not sleeping' to tend with. We are trusting our Father to give grace upon grace and anticipate how God will use the GCGW!

Thank you so much for praying with us! We so appreciate your partnership in growing the Kingdom in Mexico City!

with love,
Chris, Angela, Mackenzie, Lukas and Lucía.

...I trust in you, Lord....My times are in your hands.
Psalm 31:14, 15
