If you’ve been to a small-to-mid-sized North American evangelical church before, much of what we do will likely feel familiar to you: we sing worship songs led by a live band, collect an offering, hear a Bible-based sermon, and spend some time in prayer. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month. We’ve been described as quirky, casual, and low-church. Our intention each Sunday is to bless God, bless the church, and bless the world.

There are two disabled parking stalls at the front of the building and two at the back; otherwise, park wherever you can!

The foyer, auditorium, gym, nursery, and main bathrooms are all located on the main level, which is wheelchair accessible. The main bathrooms are equipped with wheelchair stalls.

Kids stay in the service for the singing, then are released to their own program. Nursery: ages 0-3; Class 1: ages 3-5; Class 2: ages 6-9. The 10+ Class runs three out of four Sundays per month.

All workers receive prevention and protection training; additionally, a vulnerable sector criminal record check is required as part of the screening process. Kids ages 0-9 are checked in using our church database; each child is provided with a name tag. Classroom access is restricted and children are never left unattended; only screened workers and parents interacting with their own children are allowed in the classrooms.

We find it’s best if newcomers attend a few Sundays first. Once they’re considering making LCA their church home, we then encourage them to fill out a START HERE card. Once received, the office will reach out to set the newcomer up with a Sponsor who will get to know them and guide them through our discipleship process.

Our Board of Elders holds ultimate responsibility for the direction and oversight of the church’s mission. Operations are entrusted to the Lead Pastor, who is also one of the Elders. Our Board answers to the LCA membership and also to our regional Alliance office (the Canadian Pacific District), which answers to our national Alliance office.
-
Once we’ve spent some time getting to know each other and you find yourself aligning with our beliefs, values, and objectives, then we’ll invite you to participate in our membership class. You will then be interviewed by a pastor and/or elder, at which point your name will be recommended to the Board for membership.
