At LCA, we know how tough it can be for parents with young children to get out to training and events. That's why we've created the Childcare Roster: a list of competent, screened individuals who are willing to be called upon for childcare needs at various LCA events.
Will I get paid? Yes! Wages: $10 / hr / worker.
How old do I need to be? 14 years and up.
Do I need any special training? If you haven't done so for LCA already, you will need to complete a Criminal Record Check and the C&MA Canada's Safety and Risk Management training. If you don't have this, it can all be done for you for free through the church office.
What would I be expected to do with the kids? It's best if you're the kind of person who can actually plan some fun activities for the kids (as opposed to just plunking them in front of a screen): play games, do crafts, etc.
