Three months in Canada!

Their first 3 months in Canada and in school has gone by so quickly!

Yaseen finishes his classes today and will start again next September. He begins a job here in Lake Country on June 25. Mariam and Abdallah have made new friends at Peter Greer Elementary and will be able to begin next September with friendships in place, an understanding of how school works and hopefully more English learned over the summer. They will be participating in a week long soccer camp and swimming lessons throughout the summer. Maysam began Strong Start at Peter Greer with her good friend Miss Diane. She loved it. She will continue in the fall. Perhaps Ahmad will join her, but we’re not sure anyone is ready for that! He is delightful, with a ready smile and blessed with tons of energy. Mohammad loves all the action in his family and soon will be crawling around joining in the fun. Marwa has done well in her English classes with Terry and Elisa. Both Yaseen and Marwa are very eager to communicate in English.

Immunizations, paperwork and dental appointments kept the family and our team busy this month.  Please continue to pray for the family as they continue to adapt to life in Canada.

Please pray for their families, some in dire straights in Syria and elsewhere in the Middle East. 

Thank-you again, for those of you who have invited them to your home and for visits elsewhere. Relationships are hugely important to them and they love to meet new friends. Consider making them a part of your summer plans, trips to the park, the beach or a BBQ.
